It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Liria Peña in Beaumont, Texas, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Teresa Hernandez (Gonsalez) and Martin Hernandez; and her sons, Paul Vasquez and Domingo Vasquez. She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Vasquez (Humberto), Amelia Vidal (Luis), Lydia Rodriguez (Jesse), Enrique Almeida, Francisco Almeida (Charlene), Esmerelda Almeida (Usbaldo) and Moises Peña Jr. (Cristina); and her sister Enriqueta Sandoval. She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carter Conley Funeral Home (13701 Corpus Christi St, Houston, TX 77015). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the San Jacinto Memorial Park (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
