He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mae Welch and Elzey Norman Richardson. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Richardson; his daughters, Paige Clark (Bob Clark) and Terri Flowers; his brother Daniel Richardson; his grandchildren, Stuart Flowers, Joshua Byars, Sydney Flowers, Rachael Cousatte and Courtney Patton; and his great grandchildren, Austin Cousatte, Averie Cousatte, Ember Steinbach, River Patton and Emery Byars.

In lieu of flowers donations in Rich's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
