He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ida Musselwhite Potter and James Cornelius Potter, Sr.; his siblings, Earl Potter (Laverne), Haden Potter (Jean) and Lela Williams (Bobby); his brothers-in-law, Bob Alexander and Pierre Meaux; his sister Peggy Potter; his brother-in-law Oluf Braren; and his brother James Potter, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Betty Potter; his children, Donald Lee Potter, Jr. (Terri Lynne) of Beaumont and Jennifer Christine Klosterboer (Travis) of Humble; his grandchildren, Lindsay Campbell (Shae), Sadie St. John, Ethan Klosterboer, Bryce Klosterboer, Heidi Klosterboer, Megan Kingrey and Adam Sheilds (Danielle); his great grandchild Myles Kingrey; his sisters, JoAnn Alexander, Margaret Meaux and Dottie Braren; and his sister-in-law Lula Potter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Family and Friends Forest Park Methodist Church (225 S Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77707). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Park United Methodist Church (225 S Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77707).
