He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father David Rogers Nelson Jr.; his former wife Alice Carroll Hunter; his son David III; his spouse Dale Martin; his daughters, Katherine Dale, Elizabeth Cullen Nelson and Ashley Theresa Nelson; and also, Terri Fox, Katherine Dale Nelson Davis (Scott Davis), Austin, Andrew, Grace Katherine Davis, Elizabeth Cullen Nelson, Ashley Theresa Nelson Burk (Henry Burk), Mae Elizabeth, Theresa Katherine, Nolan Rogers Burk, David, Frances (Tim Arnoult), Hunter (Betsy Nelson), Mary Pat (Marty Gross), Carroll (Jeff Patrizi), Annie (Wayne), Jane (Joe Bob Kinsel), James Keith (Cindy Nelson), John Henry Nelson, William (Carrie Grass Nelson), Dorothy C. Fox, Norwood P. Fox, Tracy Fox Mistrot (Bobby Mistrot) and Tami Fox Nunez (Steve Nunez). He was also cherished by sisters and four younger brothers.
David Rogers Nelson III, our brother and friend, died bravely on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, Texas, after a more than ten-year battle with Parkinson's.
