She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bennett Sr. and Geneva Bennett; her brothers, Henry Bennett Jr. and Bruce Bennett; and her husband Reverend Samuel Frank McCreary Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Samuel F. McCreary III of Beaumont, TX, Talmadge A. McCreary of Beaumont, TX and Minister James M. McCreary of Richmond, VA.; her siblings, Patsy Bennett Strong of Virginia Beach, VA, Constance Bennett-Pollard (Hank) of Beaumont, TX, June Marie Bennett of Washington, DC and Harold Bennett (Maudry) of New Iberia, LA.; her grandchildren, Samantha McCreary of Houston, TX, Samuel McCreary IV, Elizabeth McCreary, Caleb McCreary and Karson McCreary; her niece Patrice Allen (Tyrone) of Virginia Beach, VA; her nephews, Garrett Hornsby of London, England and Melvin Bennett of Los Angeles, CA; her great-nieces, Kala Allen Omeiza (Daniel Omeiza) and Dr. Tavia Allen Kelly (Jack Kelly); and her great-nephew Terrence J. Allen.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mercy Funeral Home (1395 Gladys St, Beaumont, TX 77701). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Borden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (3495 Roland Rd, Beaumont, TX 77706).
