He is survived by: his wife Elvira Ramirez Montalvo; his children, Andres Montalvo, Mary Helen Garza (Ricky), Theresa Tobar (Rellnaldo), Walter Montalvo, III (Naomi), Carolina Rivera (Richard), Sylvia Jimenez (Joseph Anthony), Florinda Rodriguez (Ernesto), Victoria Montalvo, Christina Flores (Alfred) and Esperanza Torres (Rick); and his sister Susie Herrera.
