He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Engel and Herman Engel; his sister Merle Krause; and his brothers-in-law, Garrett Krause and Louis Arnold.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Engel; his son Alan Engel (Dena); his sister Elaine Arnold; his grandson John Anderson (Sheena); and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Warren and Amy Anderson.
