She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Otis Strickland and Fay Mabel Tate Strickland; her children, John Wesley Hardin and Marcia Lynn Hardin Roenigk; her siblings, James, Robert, William Strickland, Anita Strickland Bice and Dorothy Strickland Vyvial; and her former spouse J. R. Hardin.

She is survived by: her children, David Hardin (Judy) of Pleak, Thomas Russell Hardin (Terri) of Rosenberg and Susan (Hafez Aghili) of Houston; her son-in-law Bob Roenigk of Needville; her grandchildren, Michael Aghili (Jessica) of Houston, Paul Aghili (Angelica) of Houston, Daniel Aghili of London, UK, Joseph Ross Hardin of Pleak and Jill (Juan Cantu) of Sugarland; her great grandchildren, Vivienne, Ines, Leo, Benjamin, Harrison, Everett Aghili and Eliza Cantu; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Strickland of Arlington and Mary Strickland Wornat of Richmond.
