He is survived by: his wife Hattie Surles; his son Tommy Surles; his daughter-in-law Lynn Surles of Cove; his daughters, Tammy Garrett, Jay Garrett of Baytown, Theresa Kogut and Richard Kogut of Anahuac; his siblings, Donna and Gary Surles; and his sisters-in-law, Lou Surles, Tom Pauley, Paula Pauley, Jim Freeman, Barbara Freeman, Walter Nolan, Trisha Nolan, Mike Sheppard and Robin Sheppard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and precious friends.
