He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julianna Martinez and Roman Martinez; his daughter Dymphna Theresa Martinez; his wife Maria Bernal Martinez; his brothers, Alberto, Everardo, Porfirio and Manuel; his half-brother Donato Martinez; his sisters, Paula Martinez and Catalina Martinez; his half-sister Esperanza Olivo; his children, Joe (Martinez Bernal), Michael, Ruben Martinez Jr., Jesse Martinez, Richard Martinez, Irma (Montes), Mary Evangelina, Rodríguez Jr., Patricia Ann and Sanchez Sr.; and his grandchildren, Crystal Redden, Michael Martinez Jr., Elizabeth Contreras, Joaquin Montes, Micah Bernal, Jose Montes, Christopher Martinez, Francisco Rodriguez III, Mark Martinez, Aurelio Sanchez Jr., Francisca Martinez and Priscilla Sanchez Garcia. He was also cherished by 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
