He was predeceased by : his parents, Marcos Martinez and Reyes Oviedo; his siblings, Antonio, Geronimo, Gilberto, Julio, Ana Maria, Maria Ofelia, Joe and Carmen; and his great grandchild Romey Miah Salinas.

He is survived by : his wife Margie Maldonado Martinez; and his children, Gloria Steinhauer (Michael), Mary Louisa Ybarra (Don), Maggie Halleck (Mark), Robert J. Martinez (Linda), Linda Magdaleno (Albert), Ramon Martinez (Marta Julia) and Lupe Martinez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
