He is survived by: his mother Velma Ruth Warfield of Crockett, Texas.; his nephew Desmond Broussard; his children, Kenisha Broussard Simpson (Brandon Simpson), Damon Broussard and Richard Faniel, Jr.; his granddaughter Nahla Simpson; his son Naaja Simpson; his siblings, Van Faniel, Lawerence Faniel (Abigail Faniel), Jeffery Faniel and Tonja Brantley; and his siblings-in-law, James C. Broussard, Brian K. Broussard and Katrinea D. Broussard.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Proctor's Mortuary - Anahuac (518 Miller St, Anahuac, TX 77514). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Whittington Cemetery.
