He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Clifton Helmer and Mary Lilla Dillard Davenport; his wife Odelia Drake Helmer; his brothers, Paul Helmer and Herbert Davenport; and his son-in-law Barry Ramsey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Don Helmer and Theresa Davenport Shimek; his grandchildren, Chris Caldwell (Lauren) and Candice Ramsey; his great grandchild Raylee Rulander; and also, Pam Ramsey and Debbie Caldwell (Charles Caldwell). He is also survived by nephews and friends.
