He is survived by: his wife Mildred Smith; his daughter Patti Kunz Albright (Bart); his son-in-law Harold Thigpen; his grandchildren, Marcus, Deeann Thigpen, Johnny, Emily Johnston, Nathan Thigpen, Adam and Alli Albright; his great grandchildren, Tillman Thigpen, Tanner Thigpen, Payton Thigpen, Cullen Thigpen, Tucker Thigpen, Cooper Johnston and Charli Jo Johnston; and his caregivers, Marilyn of Valerie, CC and Florentine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
