She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark Powell and Judy Powell; her grandparents, Roy, Eunice Mullinax, W. P., Anna Clemetta Lamb and Virgil Paul Powell; and also, Nelda Ruth Brumley and Nelda Ruth Gardner.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Merryman; her daughters, Kimberly (Travis Staudt), Jennifer (Andrew Franklin) and Kathryn (Melvin Butcher Jr.); her grandsons, Aiden, Tyler and Dylan Franklin; her sisters, Carla Powell, Janna (D. L. Sims) and Deana (William "Mange" Lewellyn); her aunts, Gail Stewart, Linda Bostic and Joyce Mullinax; her nephews, Jeremy Lewellyn, Jayme Lewellyn, Caleb Sims, Jeffrey "Bo" Lewellyn and Elijah Sims; and her sons-in-law, Andrew Franklin, Melvin Butcher Jr. and Travis Staudt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to Central Baptist Church of Baytown or to Second Baptist Church of Highlands.
