He is survived by: his children, Jesus Cardenas (Erica), Jose Luis Cardenas (Leticia), Miguel Cardenas (Martha), Alicia Cardenas (Miguel), Teresa Cardenas (Luis), Maria Elena Cardenas (Manuel), Imelda Cardenas (Fernando), Maria Olga Cardenas (Santiago), Yolanda Cardenas (Luis Felipe) and Gloria Cardenas (Alfredo). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
