She was predeceased by: her father Harry Albert McDowell, II. She is survived by: her husband Sam Johnston; her children, Steve McDowell, Erika Prigmore, Heather Simpson and Kristin (Les Jones); her stepchildren, Ryan Johnston, Josh, Cinthia Johnston and Brandi Johnston; and her siblings, Ellen McClanahan, Leyla Rodriguez, Linda (Brian Eschberger), Harry Albert McDowell, III (Norma) and William McDowell. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Johnston can be made to the American Cancer Society.
