He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Johnson and Laura Jean Bond; his son Lloyd Curtis Johnson; and his siblings, Harry Johnson and Ada Jane Hamman.

He is survived by: his children, Chet Johnson (DeAnn), Jana Smalley (Mike) and Misty Ferro (Joe); his grandchildren, Chase (Aaron Johnson), Jacy Cooper (Grant), Kady Valer (Victoria), Joseph and Olivia (Alexandra Ferro); his great grandchildren, Caymus, Gjelina Cooper and Camilla Smalley; and the mother of his children D. Annette Johnson Dobbs. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
