He was predeceased by: his parents, Blackmun Hardin and Maggie Inez Hardin (Shelby); and his siblings, Judy Ann and Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Hardin; his sons, Joe W. Hardin Jr. (Denise), Kevin L. Hardin (Shelley) and Austin K. Hardin; his siblings, Shelby, Beverly, Libby Hardin, Gordon and Tommy Hardin; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hardin (Tonya), Ashley Middleton (Nick), Jacey Hardin, Anna Hardin, Jessica Hardin and Jennifer Hardin; and his great grandchildren, Laura and Harmony Hardin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
