It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Cox (Baytown, Texas), born in Pontiac, Illinois, who passed away on June 27, 2019, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Mayhew (E. J.); his half-siblings, Duane Barnes and Amy Tate; his brother-in-law Steve Fontenot; and his pet Rosie.
He is survived by: his wife Debora L. Cox; his daughters, Stacy Evans (Barry) and Kimberly Rice (Chris); his grandchildren, Hayden and Addison; his sisters, Chris Fontenot (Terry O'neill), Cindy Cox Soape, Beth Ray (Steve) and Sally Bemount (Larry); and his half-brothers, John Cox (Lesley) and Earle Cox. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
