Isaiah Battle Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Isaiah Battle of Baytown, Texas, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Battle and Cleo Fluellen; his wife Yvonne D. Battle; his brothers, Clarence Ellison and Ezelle Ellison; his son-in-law Cecil Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Tillotson, Betty Harris, Andrew Jones and Norman Tillotson.

He is survived by: his children, Celeste Wilson, Benard Battle Sr. (Rose) and Benita Taylor (Robert); his grandchildren, Benard Battle Jr., Daisha Battle, Sade'Taylor and Isaiah Taylor; his great grandchild Alancia Minneweather; his nieces and nephews, Florence Jean Smith, Clarice Ellison, Clarrisa Henderson, Winona "Louise" Jackson, Mark Emery, Curtis Ellison and Ezelle "George" Parker; and also Dorothy Jones. He is also survived by relatives, and friends.
