He was predeceased by: his parents, Demetrio Salinas and Beatriz Salinas. He is survived by: his wife Maria Blanca Salinas; his children, Jacqueline Guerrero (Albert) and Esau Salinas (Rocio); his grandchildren, Jacob Salinas, Caroline Wiesmann (Scott), Juliana Guerrero, Roxanna Nieto and Elio Salinas; and his siblings, Fermin Salinas (Elisa), Oliver Salinas (Hilda), Demetrio Salinas, Jr. (Maria), Martha Nevarez and Irma Ruiz (John).
