He is survived by: his wife Diana Quiroga Alvarez; his children, Veronica Cuéllar, Sergio Alvarez and Antonio Alvarez; his siblings, Manuel Alvarez, Margarito Alvarez, Leonila Loredo, Modesta Alvarez, Maria Alvarez, Elisa Loredo and Jovita Resendiz; and his grandchildren, Jorge Alfredo Cuéllar, Alonso, Alondra, Sergio, Adrian, Ricardo and Rosellie Alvarez.
