She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Mae Good and John Bernell Coon, Sr.; her son David Schaeffer; and her brothers, J. B. Coon and Bill Mathews.
She is survived by: her husband Harlin Schaeffer; her daughter Debbie Foster (Glenn) of Baytown; her grandsons, Brent Foster (Leslie) of Anahuac and Blake Foster (Kristin) of Mont Belvieu; and her great grandchildren, Hailey, Cain, Luke, Abby and Harlyn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dot's honor to the building fund for Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd, Baytown, TX 77520.
