It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dana Gay Smith (Baytown, Texas), who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Burgess and Hazel Rogers Burgess. She is survived by: her husband Gary Smith; her sister Tena Burgess of Baytown; and her pets, Fritz, Lady, Hop, Drop, Brandy, Sparky, Oliver, Shadow, Whiskers, Jezabelle, Kitty Kitty, Halley, Dora, Jonesy, Figaro, Bogey, Bacall, Buddy and Rowan.
In lieu of flowers, Dana's family asks that donations be made to the animal welfare groups Cuddly (cuddly.com) and SHAHS (superheroandzeke.com).
