It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Geartis Givens (Baytown, Texas), born in Long Beach, Mississippi, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Allen and Celita Allen (Woodcock); her husband Ray; her siblings, Lucien, Henry (Ervan), Charles (Boyde), James Allen (Elbert), Willie Belle Switzer (Bill), Mattie Irene Nichols (Renie) and Sarah Deloris Nichols; her children, Judy Starett (Jim), Brenda Williams (Cliff), Curtis Givens (Maureen) and Linton Givens (Vanessa); and her nieces, Barbara Switzer and Eleanor Martin (Dale). She was also cherished by ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
