He was predeceased by: his parents, Fairy Cavin and Marvin A. Currie; his brother Marvin A. Currie Jr.; and his brother-in-law Victor C. Pruitt. He is survived by: his spouse Amy Currie (Shepherd); his children, Lou Ellen Wheeler (Larry), Carl Currie Jr (Nancy) and Brent Currie; his grandsons, Kevin Wheeler (Christine), Daniel Wheeler, Robert Currie, Thomas Currie (Jamie) and Jody Hughes (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Bobby Currie and Zora Hughes; his sister Mary Lou Pruitt; his children, Becky Pruitt and Chris Pruitt (Terry); his sister Martha Currie; and his children, Marvin Currie III (Jeani) and Ruth Heinemeyer (Robert). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
