It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Harris in Baytown, Texas, born in Tupelo, Mississippi, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John S. Long and Ida Kathleen Spencer Long; her siblings, John Long and Kathleen Alred; her sons, Michael Thurman Harris (Elizabeth) and James Ray Harris (Rebecca); and her granddaughter Abigail Harris. She was also cherished by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, books can be donated in Betty's name to the Liberty Middle School Library.
