He was predeceased by: his parents, Apolonia Flores and Sixto Fernandez Guajardo; and his daughter Sara Lee Fernandez. He is survived by: his wife Rafaela Villarreal; and his children, Alma Fernandez, Grace Yoakum (Steven), Leonel Fernandez, Jr., Linda Falls (Brian) and Elizabeth Cavazos (Raymond).
A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
