It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Bernard Guffey (Bay City, Texas), born in East Bernard, Texas, who passed away on September 16, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Adele Ruth Maresh of El Campo, TX.; and his siblings, Floyd, Lloyd, Gene, Clifford Guffey, Winnie Shroyer, Mary Obenhaus and Dottie Lechler.
He is survived by: his brother Vernon; his children, Ronnie Guffey (Sherry) of Boerne, Tom Guffey (Kelly) of Brazoria, Pam McCasland (Danny) of Bay City and Pat Drenner (Frank) of Bay City; and his grandson Ron Guffey, Jr.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bay City.
