He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Winslow Ara and Esther Getchell Nelson; his wife Dolores Nelson; his children, Cathy McGee (Gary) and Whit Nelson (Susan); his sister Shirley Frost; his sister-in-law Judy Brown; his grandchildren, Les McGee (Nissa), Joshua Nelson (Heather), Cody McGee and Jordan Nelson (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Jackson McGee, Zipporah Nelson and Jacob Nelson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Texas Baptist Men c/o First Baptist Church – Bay City.
