She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Johnny Ybarra Mendiola; her siblings, Angelina Zepeda Wheeler, Joey Zepeda, Jr., Denise Zepeda-Eisman and Mary Jane Villarreal; her parents, Joe Zepeda and Romona Zepeda; and her stepchildren, Bonnie Garcia (Steven Garcia), Ida Mendiola Mikus, Anna Query (Greg Query) and Alvin Mendiola. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
