It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Janecka Johnson of Bay City, Texas, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Janecka and Bessie Aloise Janecka (Cernosek); her husband John L. Johnson; her siblings, Agnes Cernock, Albert Janecka, Emil Janecka and Dorothy Tykal; and her great grandchild Bellamy Cooper Henderson.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann Kennedy of Crockett, Patricia Lynn Lindsay of Houston, Arthur James Johnson (A. J.) of Bay City, Karen Sue Ryman of Bay City and Ronald Louis Johnson of Tennessee; her children-in-law, Ronnica Johnson, Charles W. Kennedy III (Chuck), John Lindsay and Duane Ryman; her grandchildren, Lacy Daugthery, Benjamin Johnson, Elizabeth Kennedy, Mary Margaret Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Matthew Lindsay of David Lindsay, U. S, Army Sargent Jeremy Ryman, Colleen Ryman and Brittany Lynn Johnson; her goddaughter Sister Valeria Janecka; and her great-nephew Father Dalton Ervin.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay City in memory of Bessie Johnson.
