He is survived by: his wife Maria Covarrubias Cortinas; his children, Maria Yolanda Diaz (Elias), Hilda Mereles (Roy), Petra Montalvo (Robbie), Nancy Saucedo (Michael), Rene Cortinas (Irene), Ricardo Cortinas, Sr., Ruben Cortinas (Beatrice), Rudy Cortinas (Cecilia) and Tomas Cortinas (Maria Teresa); his siblings, Evangelina Reyna (Adam), Elva Avila (Santos), Elida Samaripas (Paublo), Dolores Martinez and George Cortinas (Margaret); and his children-in-law, Richard Cervantes and Christina Cotinas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
