He was predeceased by: his father George Melvin; and his sisters, Laquetta Schafer and Lorel Schafer Rodriguez. He is survived by: his mother Marion Duncan Schafer; his wife Vicky Ann Boots Schafer; his children, Holly McKee (Kevin) and Jonathon Schafer; his siblings, O. Lee Chavez, Bonnie Sheffler (Cliff) and Lloyd Schafer; and his grandchildren, Megan, Adrian, Brandon and Colton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to Taylor Bros. Funeral Home for final expenses of Little Ben Schafer.
