He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Hale Johnston, Jr. and Dorothy Teel Johnston; and his daughter Emma Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Johnston; his children, Michele Johnston Cox and William Johnston (B. J.); his grandchildren, William, Cameron, Kathryn Cox, Violet Carmichael, Charlotte, Tara Johnston, Madeleine and Blair Johnston; and his siblings, Carolyn Devine and Dan Johnston. He is also survived by partner in the law firm Sullins, Johnston, Rohrbach and Magers, P. C. Mike and his wife Lynda were married 47 years and had 7 children and 8 grandchildren.
