It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gurvis Aubry Sthram Sr. of Batson, Texas, who passed away on November 27, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Roy Sthram; his wife Evelyn Sthram; his sons, Roy Sthram and Gerald Davis; and his sisters, Etra Sthram, Verdie Richard, Oweda Coufal and Ada Bell Holmes.
He is survived by: his children, Gurvis Sthram Jr. (Nancy) of Saratoga, Glen Sthram of Batson, Texas, Georgia Manning (David) of Hardin, Martha Jones (Dean) of Batson, Betty Jo Sheffield (Louis) of Warren and Angie Collier (DeWayne) of Saratoga, Texas; and his sisters, Dixie Lewis of Kountze, Delita Mason (Gary) of Batson, Jean Strahan of Batson and Eloise O'Conner. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
