With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fermin Rivera Prado of Batesville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Prado (Rivera) and Francisco Prado; his wife Feliz Luna; his children, Asnet Prado, Eduardo Prado and Fermin Prado, Jr.; and his grandson Hector Prado.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Ramos (Robert) of Batesville, Andrea Thelma De Leon (Arturo) of Batesville, Juan Prado of Austin and Carlos Prado of Batesville; his sister Eva Mason of Batesville; and his grandchildren, Brian Ramos, Robert James Ramos, Sierra Ramos, Carlos Alberto Prado, Jr., Adam Prado, Juan Prado, Jr., April Ruiz, Kayla Prado, Brianna De Los Santos, Arturo De Leon, Jr. and Debbie De Leon. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A prayer was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 201 Guedea St, Batesville, TX 78829. A burial was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Batesville Cemetery (14142 US-57, Batesville, TX 78829).
