He was predeceased by: his parents, Geronimo Garza and Teofila Garza (Charo); his wife Ester Vasquez; and his siblings, Modesta Chavera, Lucia Garza, Trinidad Luna, Tomasa Hernandez, Antonio Garza and Mario Garza.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Garza of Batesville, Delma Phillips of La Pryor, Daniel Garza (Petra) of Batesville, Armando Garza Jr. (Maria) of Batesville and Alejandro "Alex" Garza (Eloisa Guana) of Batesville; and his sister Julia Vela of Batesville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
