Ruby Mae Johnson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2024, at the age of 94, Ruby Mae Johnson (Bastrop, Texas), born in Big Sandy, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby Mae Johnson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaiah Thomas and Lula Thomas; her siblings, Curly Thomas, Thomas, David Thomas, Walter "Pokey" Thomas and Rosetta "Buddie" Thomas; her children, Linda Owens of Larry Johnson, CP, Ruby Renia Harris and Cavin Johnson; her granddaughter Cynthia Owens; and her daughter Cladie Johnson-Haywood (Jerry).

She is survived by: her daughters, Venice Johnson-Carter (Clarence) of Debra, Reynolds and Mona Johnson-Williams (Kenneth). She is also survived by grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paul Quinn AME Church (1108 Walnut St, Bastrop, TX 78602). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Home-Going Celebration. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1307 State Hwy 95, Bastrop, TX 78602).
