He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Keith Nixon and Willie Lott Nixon; his wife Virginia; his son Ralph Kennard Nixon; his siblings, Wendell, Albert, Clifton, Benson, Oleta Hardy and Emma Ella Green; his son-in-law Carl Kelly; his nephews, Gary Jackson, Roy Hardy, David Stevenson and Michael Hudec; and his close friend Mike Finley.
He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Nixon Kelly; his grandchildren, Clayton M. Kelly (Kimberly) and Amanda Nixon Bousquet (Beck); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Scarlett and Logan Kelly.
