He was predeceased by: his wife Deann Dorward; his daughter Tracey Lambert-Pocock; and his sister Dolores. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Dorward (Kay), Dawn Dorward, Allen Williams and Misty Dorward Hoffmeister (Brian); and his siblings, Calvin (Janet), Kathleen (Lewis) and Harland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home (505 Old Austin Hwy, Bastrop, TX 78602). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (1307 State Hwy 95, Bastrop, TX 78602).
