He is survived by: his wife Chery Turner; his son Lawson D. Turner IV "Sonny"; his sisters, Betty Jean Sanford and Joy Gaye Inman (Henry); his grandchildren, Lauren D. Turner and James Oaks; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Sanford (Melissa), Matthew Inman, Penny Stafford, Debra Denson (Bill) and Amy Champlain (Paul). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
