He was loved and cherished by many people including: his birth father Herman H Vest, Sr.; his grandparents, Jack and Bertha Huddleston; his uncles, Bill Wheeler and Cecil Huddleston; his wife Donna; his sons, Derek (Melinda), Dustin and Justin; his granddaughters, Amber and Jasmine; his parents, Ruthie Baughman and Bill Baughman; his siblings, Glenn Vest (Deanne), Barbara Watson, Sandra Eubanks (Phillip) and Robert Vest (Elizabeth); and his aunt Barbara Wheeler. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers Herman requested donations to be made in his honor to St Jude, Bastrop Honor Choir who's first priority is to help the Children's Advocacy Center's efforts to prevent child abuse or a charity of your choice.
