He was predeceased by: his father Juan Pacheco; his wife Angelina Merino Pacheco; his mother Francisca Cantu Pacheco; and his siblings, Manual Pacheco, Petra Pacheco Reyes, Thomasa Pacheco Robledo and Consuelo Pacheco Cavazos.
He is survived by: his children, Velia L. Leal of Bastrop, Mario S. Pacheco, Sr. of Bastrop, Cynthia P. Braendle (Mike) of Bastrop and Mary Pacheco (Lonnie) of Bastrop. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
