It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Godwin of Bastrop, Texas, born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Godwin; and his siblings, Michael, Terrell and Linda. He is survived by: his son Craig Godwin; his wife Stacy Godwin; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Godwin; his granddaughter Ali Godwin; his father Joe Godwin; his siblings, Alice and Daniel Godwin; and his siblings-in-law, Glenda Miller, Paul Thompson and Ashley Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
