She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herbert Jasper and Dora Ester Lee; her husband Dr. John Lynn Humphrey of Bangs; her sisters, Bernece and Henrietta Reed (Cordell) of Sidney; her daughter Dodie Brown (Paul) of Duluth; her grandsons, Wade Hampton of Austin, Emmett Hampton of Austin and Joshua Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her son Lee Jack Humphrey (Allison); her grandchildren, Charlotte and Leo; and her nieces and nephews, Carrolyn Pinson, Adron Fisher, James Reed, Theresa Roop and Judy Zepeda.

Memorials may be made to the Brownwood Public Library Endowment Fund (brownwoodlibrary.com/endowment.html) to commemorate Lou's love of reading.
