He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Curry and Verta Curry (Roberts); his wife Byrlene Curry (Drury); his siblings, Darvin, Sammy Curry and Lenda Wash; and his grandparents, Ed, Beaula Roberts, Oscar and Bessie Curry.

He is survived by: his children, Johnny Curry Jr. (LouAnn), Terrie Hailey and Pamela Pannell (Wayne); his granddaughters, Ginny, Jacey Pannell, Katherine, Abigail Hailey and Eddie Wells; his sister Odessa Moore (Vernon); and his brother-in-law Larry Drury (Celia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
