He is survived by: his wife Georgia Strakos of Bangs; his children, Stephanie Stroope (James) of Brownwood, Derin Vrana (Kayla) of Killeen and Shelby Strakos (Dustin McDaniel) of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Stroope of Stephenville, Michael Stroope of Brownwood, Gentri Vrana of Iola, Coleton Vrana of Killeen, CharLynn Davidson of Brownwood and Alex Saffell; and his siblings, Ann Hein (Dale) of Bellville, Kathy Shellenbarger (Charlie) of Cuero and Daniel Strakos of Pleasanton. He is also survived by six sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
