He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sanford and Barnie Hampton (White); his children, Douglas Todd Hampton and Kaycee Leigh Hampton; his son-in-law John Souza; his siblings, Garnetta Edwards, Mary Jane Jackson (Max), Glen "Jiggs" Hampton (Earlene), Charles Hampton (Eva Mae) and Harold Payne Hampton (Clydale); and his mother-in-law Wilma Bramblett.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hampton of Bangs; his daughters, Stacy Hampton Riffe of Brownwood and Tracy Hampton Souza of Parker, Texas; his brother Roland Hampton (June) of Early; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Wilcox of San Angelo and Linda Bramblett of Bangs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
